GN2000 USB headset doesn't output any audio

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 8530.96.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.154 Safari/537.36
Platform: 8530.96.0 (Official Build) stable-channel zako

Example URL:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Plug in a GN2000 USB headset
2. Ensure audio output is routed to GN2000 device
3. Play audio (e.g. sound test in Hangouts settings)

What is the expected behavior?
Audio can be heard

What went wrong?
Audio is not heard

Did this work before? N/A 

Is it a problem with Flash or HTML5? N/A

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 53.0.2785.154  Channel: stable
OS Version: 8530.96.0
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Same device tested on a Linux laptop and audio works as expected. Not a hardware problem. Other USB audio devices correctly output sound on this device.
