Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.116 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open http://jsbin.com/vufaluc 2. Right click any element and select "Inspect(检查)" 3. DevTools selected the `html` element, not the target element. What is the expected behavior? DevTools should select the target element. FF behaviors normal. Change the text-indent of last line to -99999px will solve the problem. What went wrong? May be css rendering engine. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 53.0.2785.116 Channel: n/a OS Version: 10.0 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Thanks for the report. I'm able to reproduce on Linux 57.0.2944.0. Any text-indent <= -1677723em will trigger this for me. At text-indent: -1677722em, I'm able to inspect the last 3 of the shrinking "Hello world"'s.
