Videos don't play on cnn.com

App Version (from "Chrome Settings > About Chrome"): M53 Stable, M54 Beta, M55 Canary
iOS Version: 10.0.2
Device: iPhone 6S

Steps to reproduce: 
1/ go to http://edition.cnn.com/2016/10/07/politics/donald-trump-women-vulgar/index.html
2/ click on main video
3/ click on any video thumbnail in the carrousel 

Observed behavior:
Videos don't play

Expected behavior: 
Videos should play. 
Also, when clicking on thumbnails in carousel, video in main position should change.

Frequency: 
Always.

Additional comments: 
This works on Safari and on UC Browser.
It doesn't work on Firefox which seems to have the same issue as Chrome on iOS

Does it work in stock WKWebView? UC Browser is probably UIWebView based. Safari could use some kind of private API (hopefully they don't).

Marking this as RBS until we at least know the root cause.

I haven't tried with stock WKWebView. This is starting to show up in AppStore reviews. 

Robert: Are you seeing anything in users feedback about being unable to play videos?

Video linked in the original bug report, is NOT playing in stock WKWebView app as well.
Video NOT working even if Mobile Safari UA is enabled.
Same video works fine on iPhone6 plus with 9.3.5 but not on iPhone6s, 7 on 10.0 and 10.1 beta
Other videos from cnn.com/videos are playing fine with iPhone7 on 10.1 beta.

Can someone file a radar for this? I cannot escalate it with Apple until we do.

The link works for me on an iPhone 7, 10.0.2, in M53, 54, 55. I am able to successfully play the video and switch between other videos using the thumbnails. Mardini@, can you please retest to be sure this wasn't a problem with cnn.com?

pinkerton@, I'd be happy to file a radar if we believe it to be an Apple issue.

Yes, we saw a little increase in video not playing issue in the past two weeks. Feedback jumps from <10 reports per day to ~18 reports per day. However, users mentioned YouTube and other websites which I couldn't reproduce.
