erigion@gmail.com, I don't repro this bug on my Win7+Chrome 55.0.2873.0 by navigating to any YouTube video or the gifv you referred to. What's the model of your graphic card? does this issue repro on all YouTube video or a specific one? do you have consistent repro?

Updated my graphics drivers today and this problem has went away.

I am running a GTX 980 and the problem was reproducible on every Youtube video and gif. It did not appear when I opened videos/gifs in Firefox and Edge.

Thanks for the response. Closing the bug since it sounds like a graphics driver
issue. Please comment if it happens again.
