Issue descriptionVersion: 55.0.2883.0 614d31daee2f61b0180df403a8ad43f20b9f6dd7-refs/heads/master@{#423768} (64-bit) OS: Mac OS X(10.11.4, 10.11.5) What steps will reproduce the problem? 1. Launch chrome and navigate to NTP and open devtools 2. Now go to 'Application' section and try continuously clicking on 'Add to homescreen' link and observe the error icon and nos. in top tab strip. Actual: Flickering of error icon and and error nos. is seen after continuously clicking 'Add to homescreen' link Expected: Flickering of error icon and and error nos. should not be seen after continuously clicking 'Add to homescreen' link This is a non-regression issue, seen from M-52 series as 'Add to homescreen' link appears from build # 52.0.2729.0 Kindly review the attached video for reference. Note : Issue is not seen on Windows,Linux and Mac OS X(10.10.5)

With response to comment #1: Rechecked the above issue on Mac OS X(10.11.5) with latest canary chrome version : 56.0.2885.0 and the issue is reproducible. Kindly refer the attached screen cast for reference.

Do you mean the icon is moving left-right? That is because of the font width differs for different digits. I guess it can be fixed. I can't repro it on my side. Probably it is using a different font on your computer. Can you please open DevTools on DevTools and check what font is used for the errors number. Thank you.

I don't think this is a problem at all. Different text -> different width. |
