Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: 1. open bookmarks 2. click search icon 3. enter one or more "special characters" into the search field using the Swype on-screen keypad. 4. press enter 5. says "no bookmarks found" 6. so, it failed to find the bookmarks containing the specified special characters. What is the expected behavior? bookmark search should list all bookmarks containing any string of characters generated using the Swype on-screen keypad. What went wrong? described above. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 53.0.2785.124 Channel: stable OS Version: 4.4.2 Flash Version: I did not try other on-screen keypads.

The bookmark search API was meant to be used for the omnibox and thus special letters were not recognized well. I will reassign this to ltian@ as an available bug and see if he has cycles to look at it.
