Devtools shows the <div class="content comic"> is entirely missing from the DOM.  Seems like a load-time issue but I'm not sure what the root cause might be.

This is possibly some manner of website error, but the pattern of consistently reproducing only on 54 is somewhat alarming, so tentatively marking stable blocker.  Marking Needs-Bisect since we can make more progress to assign owner/component once we have a patch to blame.
