Open page with HTML5 audio - MP3 file 2. Go to another page 3. Navigate back to that with audio What is the expected behavior? Duration of the audio is same. What went wrong? While the original duration is correct, that after revisiting the page is greater. Did this work before? N/A Is it a problem with Flash or HTML5? HTML5 Does this work in other browsers? Yes Chrome version: 53.0.2785.143 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.3 Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0 Only some kind of MP3 audios are affected. But I can't see any apparent differences between them. Moreover, it can be reproduced only in very specific conditions on private website (I can share credentials). I cannot reproduce it on another public server hence not providing the URL.

I experimented with it and finally can reproduce even on public site: 1. Open the http://drifted.in/other/chrome-652699/page.html 3. Click the audio link (which opens audio player) 4. Open developer console 5. Move the slider range, which logs the duration (53.541667) 6. Click the page link 7. Click again the audio link 8. Move the slider range, which logs the duration (64.090333)

Able to reproduce the issue on Windows-10,Mac-10.12 and Linux -ubuntu-14.04 in stable version (53.0.2785.143). But unable to reproduce in Dev(55.0.2873.0), Beta (54.0.2840.50) and canary (55.0.2881.5)version. Seems that issue got fixed in later version .could you please upgrade to latest versions and update the thread with your observation. @dev: please let us know if a reverse bisect is needed in this case.

Since this bug not repro on a more recent build, I think it's fine to solve it as fixed. jan.tosovsky.cz@gmail.com, can you upgrade to a higher build and try again?

Works fine in canary (55.0.2882.0) on Win-10. I believe other versions you tested works as well. Can be closed.
