Issue descriptionbugs: Clear Browsing data; Selecting what to clear then confirming leads to the task never completing. The progress icon just goes on forever.

You need to have material settings flag activated, then go into settings > clear browsing data. You have taken the wrong path.

Unable to reproduce the issue on Win7/64 bit & Mac OSX 10.11.6 - Version 54.0.2840.59 m (64-bit) even after enabling the flag "Enable Material Design settings" in chrome://flags Can you please upgrade to the latest stable build available & check if you still see this issue ?

Thank you for the report. I am also not able to reproduce though. The backend has not changed recently, so I don't believe this would be a regression. My expectation would be that the deletion is not infinite, just takes a long time. A few debugging questions: 1. How long approximately has it taken until you gave up (presumably closed the dialog / restarted Chrome / ?) 2. Which datatypes and time range were you deleting? 3. Do you remember the sizes of the datatypes (how many MB of cache? history items? etc.) 4. Does it work after restarting Chrome?
