MP4 videos from asos.com site don't work |
||||
Issue descriptionChrome Version: 53.0.2785.144 Chrome OS Version: 8530.93.0 (Official build) stable-channel link Chrome OS Platform: Chromebook Pixel 1 Network info: wifi (??) Please specify Cr-* of the system to which this bug/feature applies (add the label below). Steps To Reproduce: (1) open asos.com (2) navigate to any item that has a "catwalk" video (some items in the store only have photos, but most have a video) (3) there is an "oops, error" instead of the video (4) you can find the actual MP4 in the inspector, but pasting it in the URL bar just gives a white screen, e.g. http://video.asos-media.com/products/ASOS/_media_/76a/76a928f8-cbc4-4b5f-acbb-dd27c42686e2.mp4 - The same video works on Chrome on desktop. Expected Result: video plays Actual Result: video doesn't play How frequently does this problem reproduce? (Always, sometimes, hard to reproduce?) Always on the one chromebook I tested it on. Restarts, upgrades are having no effect. What is the impact to the user, and is there a workaround? If so, what is it? Don't know a workaround. Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screen shot or log if possible. example video that isn't working: http://video.asos-media.com/products/ASOS/_media_/76a/76a928f8-cbc4-4b5f-acbb-dd27c42686e2.mp4

able to reproduce this issue on link and tricky devices. But it is not reproduced on daisy and pit devices. Looks like it is intel specific issue. Also video is working on intel devices by disabling hardware decode from about:flags Version used : 8861.0.0/55.0.2878.0 Feedback Id: 12741120371

Unfortunately, the provided stream appears to not be a valid H.264 stream. The max_dec_frame_buffering syntax element is larger than MaxDpbSize. This is also confirmed by the reference H.264 decoder.
