Try to watch a streaming video on Amazon 2. 3. What is the expected behavior? The video will play smoothly like it did before the last update to the browser What went wrong? The video playback is choppy - every 3-5 seconds the frame will pause and skip. It will also have mismatched audio to video. It plays perfectly in every other browser except for Chrome. Did this work before? Yes Before the latest update of Chrome Is it a problem with Flash or HTML5? HTML5 Does this work in other browsers? @seaustin71, Unable to reproduce this issue, we tested this issue on windows 7 machine with chrome version stable 53.0.2785.143. Observed that amazon videos are playing without any pauses and the audio is synched to video as expected. Could you please try this scenario with clean profile without using any apps or extensions in your browser.

I uninstalled chrome with Revo, removed all remaining files and did a new download and clean install. Video on Amazon is still choppy. Pauses every 3 seconds approximately. Video plays fine on MS Edge and IE 11.

I uninstalled chrome again with Revo, removed all remaining files and did a new download and clean install. Video on Amazon is no longer choppy. the video is now playing as it is supposed to.

After 1 day the video is back to being choppy. The audio lags behind the video and the video pauses every 5 seconds. No changes made to Chrome. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Still having problem. IE 11 and MS Edge play with no pauses or problems. I uninstalled chrome again with Revo, removed all remaining files and did a new download and clean install. Video on Amazon is no longer choppy. the video is now playing as it is supposed to.

as per #5, the video is no longer choppy after uninstall, reinstall Chrome. I'll resolve this bug. thanks

This is NOT resolved. I do not know how the 2nd paragraph appeared on my October 7 post. The video will not play without audio lag and a pause about every 3-5 seconds. I have uninstalled and reinstalled chrome multiple times. Video plays flawlessly on every other browser I tried. What is wrong with Chrome? I have no extensions or add-ons installed. |
