Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_12_0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2880.0 Safari/537.36 Example URL: https://bug1307122.bmoattachments.org/attachment.cgi?id=8797201 Steps to reproduce the problem: 0. Accumulate some history, so that you can jump back a page using the back button 1. Go to https://bug1307122.bmoattachments.org/attachment.cgi?id=8797201 2. Click the "click here to unload this page" link 3. Click the back button to try and navigate to the previous page What is the expected behavior? XMLHttpRequest should be aborted and navigating back should work successfully. What went wrong? Running XMLHttpRequest prevents back navigation from completing successfully. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before? N/A Does this work in other browsers? Unable to reproduce this issue on windows 10, Linux Ubuntu 14.04 and MAc 10.11.6 using chrome version 55.0.2880.0 with the below steps 1. Go to https://bug1307122.bmoattachments.org/attachment.cgi?id=8797201 2. Clicked the "click here to unload this page" link 3. Clicked the back navigation arrow 4.Page navigated successfully Please find the attached screen cast and confirm if anything missed in triaging the issue.

The site started working again as of today, we need to XHR to a site that's not responding to the XHR.

Someone over at the Mozilla bugtracker created a node.js server that accepts a connection but doesn't respond. Check out the testcase mentioned in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1307122#c9 please.

Unable to reproduce the issue using steps provided in comment #0 on Mac 10.11.6 using latest chrome canary # M56 - 56.0.2891.0 . @tobbi.bugs,as per your comment #3, can we close this issue ? Please confirm. Thanks !
