Non-default opacity with preserve-3d was undefined in TR spec, which has been revised to force flattening in ED spec. This issue is still under debate at public-fx: https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-fx/2016JulSep/0002.html Please raise your concern if you feel this behavior should be re-spec'd. Thanks!
