Regression: Transparent language menu is seen in pintrest.com

Issue description

Version: 55.0.2875.0 dev
OS: Ubuntu 14.04, Windows

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Launch chrome and go to https://about.pinterest.com/en/browser-button-confirmation-page >> Scroll to bottom and open language dropdown and observe list

Expected: Transparent menu should not be seen.
Actual: Instead background text is visible.

This is a regression issue broken in M55 as it is working fine in 54.0.2840.41 beta.

Will provide other info soon.

Able to reproduce the issue on windows 10 using chrome version 55.0.2875.0.Issue is not seen on Mac 10.11.6.

Using the per-revision bisect providing the bisect results,
Good build:55.0.2872.0(Revision: 420859).
Bad build: 55.0.2873.0 (Revision:421052).

You are probably looking for a change made after 420954 (known good), but no later than 420955 (first known bad).

Just to update the latest behavior of the bug, Issue is still seen on chrome latest Dev M56-56.0.2891.0.

I can't reproduce on Linux ToT.
