More disappearing TABs at some zoom-levels

Reported by eric.rannaud@gmail.com, Sep 29 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.116 Safari/537.36

Example URL:
See attachment

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open badtab5.html in attachment
2. Change zoom level (go through all of them).

What is the expected behavior?
At all zoom levels, there should be a TAB-worth of white space before "xx", after the red rectangle on each row (div.line).

What went wrong?
At some zoom-levels (*note* it appears to be font-dependent which zoom levels are affected. I have a (proprietary) font for which all zoom levels are bad.), some of the TABs after "xx" disappear.

Does it occur on multiple sites: N/A

Is it a problem with a plugin? No

Did this work before? N/A

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 53.0.2785.116 Channel: dev
OS Version: Linux 4.7.2-1-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Sat Aug 20 23:02:56 CEST 2016 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Flash Version:

This is not a dupe of https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=622137
which I originally reported. In that bug, the test case was slightly different (badtab4.html).
