Background playback continues when losing WiFi connection |
|||
Issue description1. Background play YouTube on WiFi. 2. Turn off WiFi. The background video playback continues when WiFi is turned off. Maybe it should not? I've come into a case when I play meditation music to help sleeping, and woke up in the morning to find the music is still playing, but my WiFi connection was lost at some moment before, thus it is using cellular data for all night. Or probably it's a more general question for media playback (not specific to background video)?

Am I correct in assuming that the connection switches over to cellular to continue playing?

Archiving as there is no clear action here. It's an interesting problem but in some cases smooth transition is what the user would want. Probably more something to be handled at a system level. |
