Regression: Overlay to change picture doesn't open in Gmail when color enhancer extension is present |

Issue descriptionVersion: 54.0.2840.41 beta OS: Ubuntu 14.04,Windows Test URL: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/color-enhancer/ipkjmjaledkapilfdigkgfmpekpfnkih What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Sign in to Gmail >> Click on profile icon on top right and observe for overlay >> Click change picture and observe for overlay (2) Now add above extension,repeat step-1 and observe Expected: One clicking one should be able to see those overlays. Actual: Instead nothing happens on clicking. NOTE: Click on change picture >> Go to other tab >> Switch back to gmail tab and observe. Sometimes overlays are seen after switching tabs. This is a regression issue broken in M54. Will provide bisect info soon.

In 54.0.2826.0 dev got good behaviour[Able to see gmail page and when clicked to change photo overlays are seen] and from 54.0.2827.0 dev to 54.0.2840.0 dev we got blank gmail page[same as issue https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=638091] and in 54.0.2840.14 dev no overlays seen on clicking Hence considered Good and Bad Builds as Good Build:54.0.2840.0 dev Bad Build:54.0.2840.14 dev Changelog of 54.0.2840.0 and 54.0.2840.14 is https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+log/54.0.2840.0..54.0.2840.14?pretty=fuller&n=10000 Suspecting https://codereview.chromium.org/2297213003 from changelog. @senorblanco: Please confirm the issue.

One more issue is seen with same bisect range. Steps: Open Amazon.in and type something in search box >> Now add color enhancer extension >> Switch to Amazon.in, reload page and try using searchbox. Expected: Searchbox should be usable even after adding color enhancer extension. Actual: Instead unable to select or edit search box. @senorblanco: Please confirm the issue. Issue is seen in 55.0.2878.0 dev build

Since there's a workaround for this (explicitly specifying filter effect region on the filter node), I'm going to lower this to P2. Feel free to modify if you disagree. |
