Browser crashes on copying text in PDF

VULNERABILITY DETAILS
Chrome browser crashes on copying text from a PDF open in browser. This is triggered both by using Ctrl+C or selecting 'Copy' option for any text. As a result of this action all the open instances of chrome shut. 

VERSION
Chrome Version: 53.0.2785.116 - stable
Operating System: Windows 8.1

REPRODUCTION CASE
(1) Open a PDF file in the browser.
(2) Select a piece of text.
(3) Press Ctrl+C/Right click and select 'Copy'.

What is the expected result?
Text should be copied.

What happens instead?
Browser crashes.

Thanks for the report.

If you have crash reporting enabled, can you please navigate to chrome://crashes and give a crash ID that is stored there? That would help us diagnose what is happening.

Without additional information, there isn't any action we can take on this report.  Please feel free to re-open if you can provide us with the crash IDs as explained in the previous comment.
