I wasn't able to reproduce this either with a random PDF in 53.0.2785.116, is there an example PDF you could provide us which you can consistently reproduce the crash with? Or do you notice anything special about the text you're trying to copy? You might also be able to find your crash id which you can include here, if you follow the instructions at https://www.chromium.org/for-testers/bug-reporting-guidelines/reporting-crash-bug under "Getting a Crash ID".

Hi Chrome crashes is surprisingly not recording this crash. So I have a made a small video of the same for your reference. What I did was: I opened a copy of a PDF which was present in my mail. Copied a section of text and pressed Ctrl+C. Note that the issue is not occurring with PDFs opened on websites or from local into the browser and is specific to the PDFs present in mails. Let me know if you need more inputs from me. Thanks Apoorv Purwar

+thestig@ - please take a look? I don't have access to a Windows 8 machine, so wasn't able to try reproing this again. In #c2 I'd been testing it with macOS 10.11.6. Thanks!

Also, does the crash happen with a specific PDF, or with any PDF?

apoorv.purwar14@, I am not able to reproduce this on Win 8/8.1 as well for Chrome#53.0.2785.116. Please send us the PDF just in case if this crash is specific to that. Also give a try launching chrome with --disable-extensions and see if it still crashes? Thank you!
