Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open a tab in Chrome for Android from another app, like Gmail. 2. Tap Back, which closes said tab. 3. Tap another link. What is the expected behavior? New tab starts loading. What went wrong? Old tab is shown briefly, even though it was already closed. Besides the annoyance factor, it has privacy implications. yusufo@, this sounds like Android's save surface stuff in N. I believe we fixed some of this stuff, but maybe it only went to 54?

I believe so. This should be handled on 54 and sadly might still be broken for 53. |
