Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu Chromium/51.0.2704.79 Chrome/51.0.2704.79 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open more, choose settings 2. Choose "sign in" 3. Dialog for enterinf username shows 4. Type username, get account details and password dialog 5. Enter password "uh - oh". Service unavailable, try again later. What is the expected behavior? Sign in to sync service. What went wrong? Couldn't sign in. Did this work before? N/A Chrome version: 51.0.2704.79 Channel: n/a OS Version: Flash Version: I have no problems with signing in to my google account . Distributor ID: Ubuntu Description: Ubuntu Yakkety Yak (development branch) Release: 16.10 Codename: yakkety

Looks like every service(not just sync) is failing with "Failure: Invalid credentials." Signin folks, do you have any insight?

Unable to reproduce the issue on Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome stable #53.0.2785.116 and the reported version #51.0.2704.79. Attached a screen cast for your reference. Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue. ------------ 1. Opened chrome://settings 2. Clicked on "Sign in to chrome" button. 3. Entered valid username and password. 4. Observed that i was able to sign in to sync service. Reporter@ - Could you please check this issue by removing all profiles from the people option in chrome://settings and sign in again.
