ABC, FOX, Oprah, and ESPN360 all use the MoveNetworks plugin for video. I am trying
to get a contact there so we can work with them to get their plugin working.
Mergedinto: 4068
Status: Duplicate
Merging this into the first bug on the MoveNetworks plugin. Like Jon mentioned, all
of these sites use the same provider, MoveNetworks.

I think that we should be able to use all of the feautures that IE explorer, Safari,
and Firefox have like yahoogames, msngames, abc.com full episode player, etc. Please
make a fix for this.

just downloaded google chrome, because I LOVE GOOGLE!!!

have been using Gmail for several years and it has been superb!! my favorite server
ever!!

imagine my delight at discovering google chrome!!

it's wonderful -- fast -- efficient --

i do like to watch ABC.COM, though, and see that google is trying to
resolve the issue -- just wanted to wish you good luck --

i'll be using google chrome for EVERYTHING ELSE from now on -- Google rocks!!

just had the same problem. I installed chrome on my new laptop (im tring to go IE
free this time around), but abc.com does not like my new fancy browser. has anyone
been in contact with the plugin creator to see if they have plans to release it as
Chrome compatible?
It is unfortunate that I still need to have explorer on my system. The only time I
use it is to watch episodes online. I'm looking forward to a resolution of this
issue.

I have been curious about Google Chrome, downloaded it awhile ago, and only today
found the time to install. I have loved working with it today. I was disappointed
this evening to find out that the ABC full episode player was not compatible. I hope
this is resolved soon!

An alternative for me is to use Firefox to view Primetime network sites that support
a proprietary player.

Comment 10 by Deleted ...@, Oct 10 2009

Google Team - can you please make the ABC.com plugin available for chrome?
catsutter, the plugin is available for Chrome. abc.com just gives a "may not work"
warning, but I was able to install it and watch the videos without error. Are you
seeing something else?

Comment 12 by Deleted ...@, Oct 13 2009

I tried to watch episodes on ABC and it gives me a message of and update plug-in i
give the update and all i get is "Instructions for Windows Users
We have detected that your version of the plug-in is out of date. Please wait a
moment while an updated version of our video player plugin loads. When it finishes,
playback will start automatically..." I have left the computer on for a long period
of time and nothing is going on is there a way around this issue?

You may want to try uninstalling the Move Networks plugin, then re-installing it via
ABC's site:

1.  Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs
2. Uninstall Move Media Player
3. Close Chrome
4. Open Chrome, go back to abc.com, re-install Move Media Player.

Does that work for you?

Comment 14 by Deleted ...@, Nov 28 2009

That worked for me
Re-installing worked for me as well.. Thanks gwilson!!

Just to make this instruction fool-proof (i.e. me).

1.  Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs
2. Uninstall Move Media Player
3. Close Chrome
4. Open Chrome, go back to abc.com, re-install Move Media Player.
5. Look at the bottom left hand corner of your chrome window for the download
permission and the bottom right hand corner to make sure it doesn't block it as a
pop-up.
6. Grant permission to install twice.

You should be up and viewing abc.com video, LIKE I AM, within 40 secs.
