Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Test-case https://output.jsbin.com/rorafa/quiet
What is the expected behavior?
Initially show 3 dots ellipsis "...", until defined differently in CSS.
What went wrong?
Instead of displaying always 3 dots ellipsis, sometimes are show only 2 dots.
Did this work before? Yes 52.0.2722.0
Chrome version: 55.0.2870.0 Channel: canary
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0
I guess it is a regression bug since build 52.0.2722.0.

The CL changes underlying function (offsetForPositionForComplexText) to return the correct widths without including partial glyphs. The ellipsis code needs to fix accordingly, since without the fix, it can't work reliably. Though it computes the accurate offset now, code relying on the old behavior needs to adjust and it wasn't done yet.
robhogan@, I believe you're the expert on ellipsis. Could you mind to advise if this is dup of existing issue, or something new you could look into?
