Could you clarify: is it "Chromium" or "Google Chrome"? Generally when we see reports of "I cannot uninstall Chromium" (see issue 627710 , for example), it is the result of some unwanted software that has force-installed Chromium on users' machines. If removing it via the "Programs and Features" control panel does not work, you could try finding and deleting the files (possibly in C:\Users\YOU\AppData\Local\Chromium\Application). You could also try running the Chrome Cleanup Tool (https://www.google.com/chrome/cleanup-tool/) to see if it finds any software that it suggests be removed.

It is chromium, it's silver, and appears on my home screen before I go on google chrome.

Thanks for confirming. This version of Chromium was force-installed by another piece of software on your computer. If you can figure out how it was installed, we may be able to help you. Otherwise, try uninstalling any programs on your computer that you don't expressly want. A quick search for "unwanted chromium install" brought me to this site: https://www.pcrisk.com/removal-guides/9570-rogue-chromium-browsers. I can't say whether the information and steps listed there will work for you, but perhaps it can be of some kind of help.

Hello, it seems that I got infected with one of these viruses too. The name does not say "Chromium", it says "Chroomium" instead and it fails to leave the system no matter what. As I can understand from this post (https://www.2-spyware.com/review-chromium.html), this Chroomium isn't related to Google, right? And I should stop using it, yes? |
