CSS: Animating opacity breaks 3D transforms

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Visit http://codepen.io/keithclark/pen/ibEnk
2. There should be three visible layers on the page (only one renders)
3. Comment out the opacity rules in `@keyframes fly`
3. Now all three layers are visible

What is the expected behavior?
Three layers should render

What went wrong?
Only one layer is rendered

Does it occur on multiple sites: N/A

Is it a problem with a plugin? No 

Did this work before? Yes I can't give exact version as I haven't tested this in a while.

Does this work in other browsers? Yes 

Chrome version: 53.0.2785.116  Channel: stable
OS Version: OS X 10.11.6
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Able to reproduce the issue on windows 7, Linux Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac 10.11.6 using chrome version 53.0.2785.116 and canary 55.0.2874.0.

This is regression issue broken in M53.Please find the bisect information as below
