Regression:Allow/Block option not changing after selecting from drop down, navigating back and clicking on the same link in chrome://md-settings page.

Project Member Reported by susanjun...@techmahindra.com, Sep 22 2016

Issue description

Version: 55.0.2868.0 Dev
OS: Ubuntu 14.04, Windows

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1)Launch Chrome and navigate to chrome://md-settings/siteSettings/all.
(2)Click on any of the link and select allow/block option from the drop down.
(3)Go back to the previous page -> click on the same link again and observe the allow/block value which you have selected (see the screen cast for reference)

Expected: selected option from drop down(allow/block) should remain the same after navigating back and clicking on the same link again.

Actual: Instead, option is not remaining the same.

This is Regression issue broken in M-55.Will update bisect info soon.

Note: This issue is working fine on 55.0.2850.0 build, but browser crashes are seen on builds from 55.0.2851.0 to 55.0.2866.0 on selecting the allow/block option.

Hence the below Manual Bisect info:
Good build:55.0.2866.0 Dev
Bad build: 55.0.2867.0 Dev

Able to reproduce the issue on Mac OS 10.11.6 using chrome latest Dev 55.0.2868.0.

Performed per-rev bisect across all OS but unfortunately chrome is crashing completely while following the steps mentioned in the original comment. Due to this issue am not able to provide bisect information.

Manual CL as per omahaproxy:
https://chromium.googlesource.com/chromium/src/+log/55.0.2866.0..55.0.2867.0?pretty=fuller&n=10000

From the above CL I suspect the below change:

finnur@ - Could you please check whether this is caused with respect to your change, if not please help us in assigning it to the right owner.

I am the right owner, but I cannot repro this on trunk (with Ubuntu).

Comment 3 by finnur@chromium.org, Sep 26 2016

I'm still unable to repro.

But I've fixed two related crashes last week, so please try again (if you manage to repro please check also if there's an error in the console).
Able to reproduce the browser crash issue on the latest build 55.0.2875.0 as well.

Steps:
(1)Launch Chrome and navigate to chrome://md-settings/siteSettings/all.
(2)Click on any of the link and select allow/block option from the drop down.
Browser is getting crashed on selecting allow/block option.

Yeah, I can repro this crash, but it has already been fixed.
https://codereview.chromium.org/2378013002 (checked in recently).

I don't see anything actionable remaining as the issues have been addressed on other bugs, so I'm marking this as invalid. The menu that the crash occurs in shouldn't appear and the reason it appears there is the underlying cause for this crash.

@finnur: This issue is seen in latest M57 57.0.2943.0 dev too. Browser crashes on clicking block option from 3-dot menu

Steps to reproduce:
1: Open any page that asks for location permission bubble say search for bookmyshow so that search results page opens >> Now Click on allow option in that permission bubble.
2: Now go to chrome://md-settings/content/all and click block option from 3 dot menu of newly opened site -- Browser crashes.

If required will raise new bug. Please revert if any.

Thanks!

I believe the bug is that the three dot menu should not be shown on the all-sites page.
