cannot sync account

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2866.0 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1.Sign into Chromium 
2.Enter credentials
3.When I click log-in it doesn't proceed to sync bookmarks etc.

What is the expected behavior?
Synced bookmarks, history, etc

What went wrong?
some bug

Did this work before? N/A 

Chrome version: 55.0.2866.0  Channel: n/a
OS Version: 10.0

Unable to reproduce the issue on Windows 10 using chrome version #55.0.2866.0
Attached a screen cast for your reference.

Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue.
------------
1. Launched chrome browser.
2. Signed into chrome by entering valid credentials.
3. After signing into chrome, bookmarks got synced as expected.

Reporter@ - Could you please check this issue by creating a new profile without any apps and extensions and please let us know if the issue still persist or not.
