Vertical miniature of images are covered by text

Reported by redakcja...@gmail.com, Sep 19 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.116 Safari/537.36

Example URL:
http://laracroft.pl/0816.htm#news2138

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open http://laracroft.pl/0816.htm#news2138 or http://laracroft.pl/0313.htm#news1590 > Next to the news there is cover of comic book. Sometimes the image displays correctly, and sometimes the image is covered by text. I've noticed this problem yesterday. This is 14-year old website and the problem appears only on Chrome.
2. If you can see the comic cover correctly, please refresh the browser, sometimes randomly the text of the news is covering the image.
3. Refresh the browser of change the scale of the view, e.g. from 100% to 90% or 110%.

What is the expected behavior?
The image should be next to the text, not be covered by text.

What went wrong?
The problem is on every subsite with news, mainly the problem is with vertical small images.

Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes

Is it a problem with a plugin? No

Did this work before? Yes It worked for 14 years, the website was founded in 2002. The problem is only with Chrome, I didn't noticed it before yesterday.

Does this work in other browsers? Yes

Chrome version: 53.0.2785.116 Channel: stable
OS Version: 10.0
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

Appears correct in FireFox.
I know, I'm talking about problem in Chrome, not Firefox.

Issue 652107 has been merged into this issue.
Status: Fixed (was: Assigned)
Fixed? I can still see this error :( http://laracroft.pl/0816.htm#news2138 the image is covered by text.
The fix is in version 56.0.2889.0 or later -- which one are you using?
Ok, your point. I think now it's ok.
I have version 54.0.2840.59 m (64-bit) and I can't see the option to update to 56.0.2889.0. Chrome says that it has the newest verion on my PC.

So how to get 56.0.2889.0 ? On 54.0.2840.59 I still can see the problem :/

Your change meets the bar and is auto-approved for M55 (branch: 2883)
M54 is already in Stable (deployed to 5% of Win users). We are taking only CRITICAL merges. Can it wait for M55?

Tested the issue on Windows-10, Ubuntu 14.04 and Mac OS 10.12 using chrome latest Beta M55-55.0.2883.28 by following steps mentioned in the original comment. Observed that images are displaying as expected. Hence adding TE-Verified label.

Note: Able to reproduce the issue in MAC also and fixed in Beta M55-55.0.2883.28

Thank you!
