font-kerning: none has no effect for AAT fonts

The font kerning available cannot be seen on chrome v52. The preview below
where the text is comparable appears the same.

V45 however shows one line of text at normal kerning and the other one with
an adjusted kerning (as it should be).

Summary: font-kerning: none has no effect for AAT fonts (was: font kerning is non functional on chrome v52. Works fine in v45)
The issue is the other way around: With the example in https://codepen.io/anon/pen/kkGdJo kerning is always on, even in the font-kerning: None; case for AAT fonts. If a font like "Times New Roman" or "Arial" is chosen, kerning can be disabled, however for AAT fonts like "Times" and "Palatino" kerning cannot be disabled.
