First, please do check issues with recent versions of Chrome. 42 is more than a year old, many things have changed since then. As for the described issue: Indeed, there is no expectation that the ability to save passwords depends on the login state of the associated account. To keep context, the bubble disappears after user-initiated navigation away from the login site, but it persists through automatic redirects (some pages do this in a rapid sequence, and keeping the bubble is crucial to allow the user to save the password). Having said that, the video displays another past issue: the bubble shows "this site" while the current site origin is different from the one associated with the credential. This should be fixed in modern versions of Chrome. |
