"Hide for now" is not removing the device from the list until the page is refreshed

ENVIRONMENT and STATS
Chrome version: 55.0.2860.0 Dev
OS: Android

REPRO STEPS
1. Sign in to Chrome/Sync on an Android device and on a desktop.
2. Open few websites in different tabs on desktop.
3. On Android chrome, go to settings> Recent tabs. 
4. Long press on the desktop device name and click on "Hide for now"

ACTUAL RESULTS
Desktop device and the recent tabs are still displayed

EXPECTED RESULTS
Desktop device is hidden/removed as soon as "Hide for now" is clicked.

ADDITIONAL INFO
This looks like a regression in Chrome dev. Working fine in the latest Chrome beta 54.0.2840.25
