Chrome App : Secure Shell broken in m55

Chrome Version: 55.0.2858.0
OS Version: 8798.0.0

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Secure Shell Chrome App
2. App no longer finishes loading and hangs immediately

Expected Result
- It worked perfectly fine with m54 before I upgraded moments earlier.

UserAgentString: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; CrOS x86_64 8798.0.0) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/55.0.2858.0 Safari/537.36

i can confirm, happens in latest chrome beta under windows as well.
