Unable to reproduce the issue on MAC 10.11.6, Windows 10 and Ubuntu 14.04 using chrome stable #53.0.2785.116 and latest canary #55.0.2860.0.

Following are the steps followed to reproduce the issue.
------------
1. Opened chrome browser and navigated to one site.
2. The chrome did not close by itself and worked properly without any issues.

godblessgwen@ - Could you please let us know the chrome version where the issue was observed and please provide the steps to reproduce the issue.
Is there any particular site where the issue was observed?
