HTTPS ERR_CERT_ Common_Name INVALID on Apple redirecting to itunes.com

Reported by tokyodwe...@gmail.com, Sep 13 2016

Issue description

<b>Chrome Version : <from About Google Chrome/Chromium or</b>
'about:version'>
URL : 53.0.2785.101 Mac OSX 10.11.6
Behavior in Safari 4.x/5.x: Loads without Error
Behavior in Firefox 3.x/4.x: Loads without Error

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) Navigate to https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
(2) Click the link that states "Get iTunes for Windows" which runs: javascript:applyPlatformspacificCode('win');initializeOtherDownload();
(3) Then visit the link below the text:
"64-bit editions of Windows 7 and Windows 8 require the iTunes 64-bit installer; for more information, visit" which goes to www.itunes.com/download, whilst also running the following JS: "javascript:var navWin = window.open('http://www.itunes.com/download','NewWin','toolbar=no,menubar=no,location=no,directories=no,status=no,scrollbars=yes,width=600,height=560')"

Observe the Error in the following gif: https://t.co/mGptgBmIWq

It looks like when you click 'www.itunes.com/download', it's opening the link with https (http<strong>s</strong>://www.itunes.com/download), which isn't available on itunes.com.

Try clearing your cache (Settings >> More tools >> Clear browsing data). :)
It works fine with HTTPS Everywhere Turned off, but I would prefer to use HTTPS, and with HTTPS Enforced, there is a Privacy Error.
There's your problem!

HTTPS Everywhere is trying to force HTTPS on a site that doesn't support it.

I've reported the problem to EFF on GitHub. You can keep updated on its status at https://github.com/EFForg/https-everywhere/issues/6870. Thank-you.

This issue can now be closed.

Please just use the Internals>Network label, if you're not sure of the correct sublabel to use.
