clicking more than once on 'verify' button produces Internal server error

Reported by asit1...@gmail.com, Sep 12 2016

Issue description

Chrome Version : Version 53.0.2785.92 (64-bit)
URLs (if applicable) : https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en
Other browsers tested: Firefox
Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you
have tested this issue:
     Safari:
Firefox: FAIL - 48.0 (version number for firefox)
         IE:

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1) GO to https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/home?hl=en
(2) click on "add a property"
(3) now write an url for which you do not have access to in my case I used "dryve.co.in"
(4) Verify yourself as not a robot i.e. click on "I'm not a robot" checkbox.
(5) After that click on verify button. If you click once it gives an error "We weren't able to verify your property: http://dryve.co.in/".
(6) Now if you click more than once regularly on the "verify" button you will get Internal Server Error /n Error 500

I am attaching the screenshot of error and the page from where I got the error.

What is the expected result?
Expected result was user should not be able to click more than once if the AJAX request is not complete yet.

What happens instead?
I am not very sure but i am guessing server is sending the request again which gives me internal server error due to inaccess of the account.

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
