Issue descriptionChrome Version: Version 53.0.2785.89 m In the new chrome version text in Address bar became smaller and hard to read, and extension icons became too small. And the bookmark icon also smaller and blue and it should be yellow as it was before and bigger I don't find anything good about this changes. This make it harder for users to read. if you will make a survey about this changes no one will see it as positive changes. The chrome browser was much more user friendly before this change. Please fix it.

Hope they will fix it because this is really bad change.

And I forgot to mention the change in the "Find bar" that is also very bad. Now there is no green/red color indicator and the box is thicker without a reason and the text field is smaller. It's like someone thought that it is not OK that the chrome browser is so good and so friendly, so there is an need for a change.

I also find the new effect of a expanding grey circle, when clicking on extension icon- very annoying.

I strongly doubt they'll "fix" it because whoever did the redesign think it's "KEWL". Especially those wacky animations on click that invariably appeal to people who start learning javascript. Seeing it in Chromium, software supposedly developed by excellent/awesome programmers, feels surreal. Many people including me have reported here and on other Google Chrome-related forums that extension icons became less readable and less legible several months ago. Each time I see a robotic response "needs triage" or "can you show an example" implying they don't see it as an obvious problem that ruins the UI. The material redesign has issues that need to be resolved without haste. A lot of much more useful changes are stalled for years in Chromium. This redesign has reduced quality of icons in all extensions that don't provide a hand-made pixel-aligned 16x16 and 32x32 icons for the toolbar (browserAction/pageAction). The majority of extensions won't be updated for many years.

So sad to hear that. Hope they will change their mind. The changes they made don't make any sense.

Well, you can disable "Material Design in the browser's top chrome" on chrome://flags page, but these flags exist only for a relatively short term just for convenience of Chromium developers during the feature testing stage, and will be removed soon.
