Dev Tools jumps to Elements Tab after loading despite user navigating to another tab

Issue description
Chrome Version : 52.0.2743.116
OS Version: OS X 10.11.5

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Open Google Dev Tools on a webpage

What is the expected result?
You land on the Console / Network / etc tab that you previously had open and continue to observe details about the page.
What happens instead of that?
If you are on a tab other than Elements, after a few seconds of loading, Google Dev Tools switches you to the Elements tab automatically, instead of keeping you on the Console / Network / other page.
Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.

Thanks for the video. I'm seeing something slightly different in the video than what i'm reading here. You're using "Inspect Element" to bring back the devtools, which will always bring up the Elements Panel. (also, sorry it's so slow) You can use the keyboard shortcuts (cmd opt i) (or just opt tab) to refocus the devtools if you just wanna switch to looking at it. Does that work for you? |
