Alert windows are invisible after system resume

Reported by nbi...@gmail.com, Sep 9 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.116 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open a page that will show an alert prompt.
2. Put computer in sleep mode
3. Wake computer up

What is the expected behavior?
The browser should be able to be closed. Any alert windows should be visible.

What went wrong?
The browser cannot be closed because there are invisible alert windows waiting user response.

Did this work before? No

Chrome version: 52.0.2743.116 Channel: n/a
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 23.0 r0

It sounds similar to an old bug - https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=156038
I am creating a new ticket because the one mentioned is 4+ years old and marked WontFix, and there was no mention of alert windows, so it might not be the same thing at all.

Specs:
Win7 64bit
Intel HD Graphics 4000
NVIDIA Quadro K2000M

Workaround: Close Chrome before putting computer into sleep mode.
