Child with 100% width isn't stretched to parent width after removing vertical scroll bar from its parent

Open this JSFiddle: http://jsfiddle.net/AlexLukin/rktvybb0/7/ 2. Click on the orange div. What is the expected behavior? After click on orange div #c green div #b should loose its scroll bar and orange div #c should stretch to fill 100% of parent div #b. What went wrong? Orange div #c preserves its old width and part of green div #b becomes visible. Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes Is it a problem with a plugin? No Did this work before?
