Text selection disappears when focus is moved off of Chrome |
||||||||
Issue descriptionVersion: 55.0.2854.2 OS: macOS 10.11.6 What steps will reproduce the problem? (1) Type some text into the omnibox, then select some/all of it. (2) Click on another window (can be a Chrome window or a separate application/the desktop) so it no longer has keyboard focus. For example, open the task manager which will automatically receive focus. What is the expected output? The text selection becomes greyed out, as normal Cocoa behaviour (and in the Cocoa build of Chrome), but is still visible. What do you see instead? The text selection disappears instead. Giving focus back to Chrome will restore the selection, but while focus is not on the window with the selected text, text selection information is lost.

ellyjones@ - As much as I'm attached to fixing this I don't think I can realistically do it in the near future, so please feel free to reassign. The WIP I had (linked in #c2) might be vaguely useful for future bug owners though.

Pls mark the bug as fixed if CL is landed in trunk and nothing else is pending. Thank you.
