The descriptions are in the code base, but they are instructions for translators who produce strings that go in the UI. ;-)

I think this is captured in #1 - but the note in line 19 should say "not secure" instead of "now secure".

FWIW I am starting a separate translation project via email for the verbose states to make sure we verify all languages are good for "Not Secure" "Secure" and "Dangerous"

Another consideration: we might want to mark these strings as "do not dedupe".

Also, it would be nice if we could make sure the same word is used for translating "Secure". I can easily imagine a translator translating "Secure" more like "private" in one case, and more like "safe" in another context, if the meanings of potential translations do not exactly line up with English.

(How hard is it to re=run our study in different languages? ;-)

We are actually re-running our study in India very soon to see how things are different in EM, but it will be in English.

It would be great to do this in even more markets with different languages, but for now, we'll probably have to do the best we can by describing "secure", "not secure", and "dangerous"

Note that "verbose" actually means the opposite of what we want it to mean to a string translator. We want the strings to be concise, even if their presence adds more words (i.e. makes the omnibox more verbose).
