Issue descriptionUserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.101 Safari/537.36 Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Download attachment and unpack it to C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome\User Data\Default\Extensions\ 2. Start chrome 3. At least for me the extension icon disappeared when I clicked on it. 4. Go to chrome://extensions/?id=galfofdpepkcahkfobimileafiobdplb 5. Click to your hearts content on Repair link. It refuse to allow me to use the extension. What is the expected behavior? Extensions that have been on the web store should function even after they have been removed from the web store! What went wrong? Chrome refuse to let me use it no matter how many times I click on Repair! No override either! (except possible loading them manually but that's not the point!) WebStore page: Did this work before? Yes version 52 Chrome version: 53.0.2785.101 Channel: stable OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2) Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0 I'll skip the bad language for google's and chrome's locked-in web store bullshit. Don't become Apple evil please. Google evil is more than enough! 7z file extension is opened with 7-Zip. |
