Android System Webview disabled on Android N(7.0)

Issue descriptionSteps to reproduce the problem: 1. On an Android N device, open Play Store. 2. Go to Android System Webview Application 3. Try clicking on enable What is the expected behavior? Android System Webview should get enabled What went wrong? Enable button is non responsive intermittently and other times it tries to download the webview but after the download finishes, it is back to being disabled. Did this work before? Yes Chrome version: 52.0.2743.116 Channel: stable OS Version: 7.0 Flash Version:

Thanks for noticing this, this is actually intended behavior for Android N, see https://developer.android.com/about/versions/nougat/android-7.0.html#webview In N, Chrome provides WebView functionality for apps, as long as Chrome is enabled, WebView will be disabled. If you disable Chrome, WebView will be enabled again. By default Chrome is enabled on the system.
