UA reported by Device Toolbar has wrong Chrome version.

Project Member Reported by aghassemi@google.com, Sep 7 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.92 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open the Device Toolbar from Chrome Dev Tools
2. Pick something like Nexus 5
3. go to http://www.whoishostingthis.com/tools/user-agent/
4. Notice User Agent mentioned Chrome version as 48, but the actual Chrome version used for this simulation might be a different version.

What is the expected behavior?

What went wrong?
At least for Chrome/Android and built-in Device profiles, report the host Chrome version rather than an arbitrary Chrome version number in the Device Toolbar. This helps with testing capabilities that are only detectable based on UA sniffing like whether muted autoplay is supported on Mobile or not. Chrome Desktop and Mobile has pretty close release cycle so I don't see why reporting the host Chrome's version might not be a good thing.

Did this work before? N/A

Chrome version: 53.0.2785.92 Channel: stable
OS Version:
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

Thanks for reporting. Yes, using the host Chrome's version is a good idea. I've got a CL in review:
