Steps to reproduce the problem:
Have a lot of tabs open. 

What is the expected behavior?
Screen not going black

What went wrong?
Screen will often go black when I have a github pull request open but have been idle on the window for a while (reading code etc). Window will eventually recover and not be black anymore but takes ~20s

Did this work before? Yes few weeks ago

Chrome version: 54.0.2840.8  Channel: dev
OS Version: 10.0
