Issue description
UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/52.0.2743.116 Safari/537.36
Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open Chromium
2. Mouve the mouse near the top of the screen
3. It become near invisible
What is the expected behavior?
Mouse cursor shall be visible.
What went wrong?
Mouse cursor dissapear.
Did this work before? N/A
Chrome version: 52.0.2743.116 Channel: n/a
OS Version: stretch
Flash Version:
Mouse visibility looks proportional to x position meaning:
- At the very top, on tabs, mouse is invisible
- Near the address bar mouse sometimes flickers, sometime is invisible
- Near favorites, mouse cursor flickers
- Near the top of the page, mouse cursor is even visible or flickering
- On the rest of the page, mouse cursor is completly normal
I have a triple-screen setup, it only happens on my two external screens, HDMI and VGA, but NOT on the "eDP" (laptop embedded) screen.
My triple screen setup is:
xrandr --dpi 96 \
--output HDMI-1 --mode 1920x1080 --pos 0x0 --rotate normal \
--output eDP-1 --mode 1920x1080 --pos 1920x0 --rotate normal --scale 0.75x0.75 \
--output VGA-1 --mode 1920x1080 --pos 3360x0 --rotate normal
It only happen since a few days, it worked perfecly well since a few years.
It does obviously NOT happen out of chromium, I'd reported it elsewhereL If I split vertically my screen with something like a terminal (rxvt-unicode-256color, I'm splitting using i3wm), the mouse is clearly visible in the urxvt side, and disapear while moving on the chromium side.
Sometimes the mouse cursor appear "broken", like "mid-draw" or "mid-refresh", and the flickering clearly look like a "drawing refresh" thing.
i3-wm version: 4.12-2
xserver-xorg: 1:7.7+16
lspci gives:
- VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 4th Gen Core Processor Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 06)
- 3D controller: NVIDIA Corporation GK106M [GeForce GTX 765M] (rev ff)
Running with "optirun" lead to the same mouse cursor problem but tabs does not refresh when changing them (probably a whole lot of other bugs).
