Please see http://www.chromium.org/Home/chromium-privacy for further information. PRIVACY ISSUE Websites on http protocol are able to get user geolocation in google chrome on IOS. VERSION: Chrome Version: [52.0.2743.84] + [stable] Operating System: [IOS 9.3.5] REPRODUCTION STEPS I'm working on a simple web service with geolocation. It is hosted on a http server. I know that google chrome doesn't support geolocation over http since version 50. I tried to access a website from google chrome on android and it's not allowed. Then I tried to access it over google chrome on ios and it works!

Chrome on iOS uses WKWebView and cannot intercept network requests at this level.

Chrome can not disable geolocation on http pages on iOS9 (WKWebView does not allow that). This should be addressed with iOS 10 release, where WKWebView requires https for geolocation API. |
