Result: Search of Chrome Settings

Issue description

Other browsers tested:/deep/ combinator is deprecated. See https://www.chromestatus.com/features/6750456638341120 for more details.
  Add OK or FAIL, along with the version, after other browsers where you
have tested this issue:
     Safari:don't use
    Firefox:don't use
         IE:fail

What steps will reproduce the problem?
(1)General web browsing lags
(2)My student portal sometimes doesn't work properly with extensions
(3)regularly get error reports 

What is the expected result?

What happens instead?
????

Please provide any additional information below. Attach a screenshot if
possible.
This is the first sign of a possible root cause of issues in chrome. I contacted the "community" but the expert was of no help.

Can you try disabling all extensions and restarting Chrome?

Feedback timeout

@3 Are you still around?
I shut my laptop down...it took about 12 hours to complete the shut down
process.  I let the battery run down completely and it remained off for
about an hour, then I recharged the battery.
After that, it was ok.
Thanks for responding, though your emails are difficult for non-IT people
to understand.
