CSS - drop-shadow on png does not work anymore

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.89 Safari/537.36

Example URL:

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Open the link
2. Run it
3. hover the image that should glow

What is the expected behavior?
A glow on the edges of the bottle itself

What went wrong?
It did not change

Does it occur on multiple sites: Yes

Is it a problem with a plugin? N/A 

Did this work before? Yes Just before the last update

Does this work in other browsers? N/A 

Chrome version: 53.0.2785.89  Channel: stable
OS Version: 6.1 (Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2)
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

The culprit is this:

-webkit-filter: drop-shadow(12px 12px 7px rgba(0,0,0,0.5));
filter: url(shadow.svg#drop-shadow);

Because of  issue 613441 , the second property will now override the first, and since there's no shadow.svg, there'll be no filter applied.

you can do:

-webkit-filter: drop-shadow(12px 12px 7px rgba(0,0,0,0.5));
filter: url(shadow.svg#drop-shadow);
filter: drop-shadow(12px 12px 7px rgba(0,0,0,0.5));

for the full fallback story (if the second declaration is needed for something),.
