v53 unexpectedly switched to gnome's login ring instead of KDE Wallet

Reported by vkr...@gmail.com, Sep 1 2016

Issue description

UserAgent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/53.0.2785.89 Safari/537.36

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Install v53
2. Login into KDE and start chrome v53
3.

What is the expected behavior?
Soon after startup google chrome triggers a kwallet password prompt

What went wrong?
After upgrade, google chrome v53 now triggers a gnome login ring password prompt - I am using KDE and never used the gnome login ring.

Did this work before? Yes v52 and earlier versions

Chrome version: 53.0.2785.89 Channel: stable
OS Version: openSUSE Leap 42.1
Flash Version: Shockwave Flash 22.0 r0

Components: UI>Browser>Passwords
Possibly related to https://bugs.chromium.org/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=602624 ?
The command line flag described here: https://cs.chromium.org/chromium/src/docs/linux_password_storage.md may help as a workaround.

I'very tried --password-store=kwallet let but v53 appears to ignore it.

You already found the other report, so I'll just duplicate this one against it.
